In recent years, Gopher has established a number of Gopher Clubs; groups of PhD students who share an interest or passion for a certain hobby. This way, we have been able to start up, for example, a Dancing Club, a Culture Club, and a Running Club. Because time goes by, and people enter new stages of their PhD and life, not all these clubs are currently as active as we'd hoped. Therefore, the Gopher board is looking for new admins of the existing Gopher Clubs. For an overview of our current Clubs, take a look at https://gophergroningen.com/gopher-clubs

Alternatively, if you would like to start your own club - for example a Cooking Club, Acting Club, or Painting Club: let us know! No idea is too wild, and we are happy to discuss your plans :) Gopher can help in the organization and promotion of the club and its activities, as well as offer financial support.

As admin, you will be in contact with the Gopher board about the organization of and participation in events. Please note that this will not be all up to you: you will work in close collaboration with the Gopher board, who have the main responsibility. Your main task would be to be our designated contact person within the Club, and together we will make sure that we continue to arrange activities - once that is possible again.
