Persian New Year Celebration

Would you like to know how Iranians celebrate their new year? Have you ever tried out Iranian cuisine?

Persian new year is called Nowruz ! Gopher invites you to explore Persian culture and foods as well as Persian decoration of the new year. If you think Iranians have a decorated tree like Christmas tree, you should definitely come to see Haft Seen, a key element to any Nowruz celebration.

Join us, enjoy Persian music, dance and dinner!

The dinner will be served as a buffet which means that you can try 6 main courses (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) PLUS a starter and a dessert! You can eat as much as you want, but you may behave yourself ;)

Starter: Lentil soup

Main dishes:

Non-vegetarian: Ghormeh sabzi stew, Zereshk polo ba morgh, Safran rice, Kebab kubideh

Vegetarian: Mirza ghasemi and Halime gharch

Dessert: Iranian ice cream

The cost: €15 for PhDs and €17 for non PhDs

Hurry up because the spots are limited! Please make sure you will finish your registration by paying the fee before the deadline (March 14th).

At the Gopher events, photos are taken for social media. Photos are not used for commercial purposes!

If you have any objections to that, please notify the board beforehand.


Cancellation and reimbursement of participation fee

After paying the fee, no cancellation is accepted because the restaurant manager needs to prepare enough food for the guests while making sure that it will not be wasted.
