(Cancelled) Pride Month: Transrepresentation in Literature or Film and Transsexualisation

During this Pride Month talk, Prof. Ester Jiresch will give an introduction to recent theories in transgender studies, introducing useful concepts to apply in a feminist analysis of transgender representation in films. She will further sketch a brief history of the development of trans characters in Western films and analyse two case studies (the Swedish "Something Must Break" and the Spanish "Bad Education").
