Have you ever thought about personalising your cards, envelops and name tags in a fancy way? Do you want to make a personal bookplate to indicate the ownership of your collection of books, or a unique gift to your family or friends? Linocut is an easy and perfect way to meet all those desires!
Linocut is a printing technique where a print is taken from the surface of a lino block. As a beginner, you will learn how to use the tools, equipment and materials to get started in linocut on this lino printing workshop. If you have already dabbled in lino printmaking before and wants a refresher, this is also the place to revive your skills. At the end of the workshop, you will create your own lino stamp and take home something you’ll feel proud of!
We will enjoy a cup of tea/coffee together before the workshop at 13:15 at De Kostery. This 2-hour workshop will start at 14:00 in GRID Grafisch Museum — undoubtedly the most professional place which introduces all kinds of printing techniques in Groningen. You will also have time to explore the museum exhibitions after the workshop.
All materials will be provided at the workshop. Just bring your own inspiration ;)
Fee: €8.5 for PhD students (please bring your University Card), €16.5 for non-PhD students. With a Museum Card, you can get a deduction of €5.
