23th of June - 19.30h
Location: De Machinefabriek
Gopher will go to an interesting theater play named “Labyrinth of Lines” created by A-way productions. A-way productions is a young, energetic, creative group filled with enthusiastic international students and starters based in Groningen. With their theater productions they try to achieve awareness in society around different themes and taboos. This year they try to tackle the everlasting taboo and shame around mental disorders like depression and burn-out.
Description of the play from the website:
“In Labyrinth of Lines, we follow five days in the lives of people in a hospital ward for mental disease. Most of them are young and in the prime of their lives. All of them struggle with the pressures they feel from society. They each have their own stories and they are all trying to cope with their feelings. With this production, we try to open the conversation and show that mental healthcare is essential for everyone and that struggling with it is normal. Labyrinth of Lines is a plea for society to have a healthier relationship with mental disease.”
