Is Morality a Mistake? The Error Theory and Other Unbelievable Philosophical Theories
The error theory claims that moral judgements, such as the judgement that lying is wrong, are all based on a mistake and are therefore all false. In this talk the speaker will explain why he thinks we cannot believe the best version of the error theory and why he thinks this makes the theory more likely to be true. He will also discuss some other philosophical theories that may be literally unbelievable.
