Dumpling making workshop

Chinese dumplings ( Jiaozi ) are a typical dish that is made during spring festival. Family members come together and fold their dumplings. The dumplings can be filled with various ingredients, usually a combination of vegetables and meat but it is also easy to make them vegetarian or vegan.

In this workshop we will use a vegan/vegetarian recipe but you are free to add some meat. For instance minced pork or beef or even shrimps is possible.

During the workshop we will start by making the filling and then we will fold our dumplings. Dumplings are usually steamed or boiled in hot water. For steaming a traditional bamboo basket or a pot with a strainer on top (make sure you have a lid to close the pot) can be used. Another option that is also a bit faster and tastes as good is just boiling the dumplings in hot water. If you want to learn how to make Chinese dumplings, or jiaozi in Chinese, sign up for this cooking workshop!
