A wonderful Gopher tradition is our New Year’s PhD Potluck Dinner. Everyone brings a homemade dish (starter, main, or dessert) that can be shared among a couple of people, all the while getting to catch up with your PhD colleagues, as well as meeting some new people.

Want to bring a traditional plate from your home country? Hone your baking skills? Show off your signature dish? As long as it is self-cooked, you’re good to go! At Gopher, we believe that good food and good times go hand in hand.

This year, our Potluck Dinner will take place at the Van Swinderen Huys again. We can make use of their kitchen facilities, meaning that your dish can be (re)heated up on the spot.

Please tell us in the sign-up sheet what type of dish you will be bringing (starter, main, or dessert), and make sure to label your dish, indicating all the ingredients you used.

We are looking forward to seeing you(r homemade creations)!

At Gopher events, photos are taken for social media. Photos are not used for commercial purposes!

If you have any objections to that, please notify the board beforehand.

Cancellation policy and reimbursement of participation fee

If you are unable to attend an event (paid or free) you have signed up for, please notify the Gopher board beforehand.

Unless otherwise indicated, canceling your registration and reimbursing your paid participation fee can be done until 24 hours before the start of the event. Please make sure you read carefully the registration/cancellation procedures in the confirmation email for each event sent by us.
