Workshop: Networking for PhDs

As PhD student you will have to attend plenty of occasions where networking is important, including congresses, presentations, events but even within your own faculty it can be important to strengthen your connections. At the same time, the COVID-19 pandemic has made it much more important to also connect online as many of the typical networking occasions are now online and lets be honest, most people do not want to stick around after an online meeting to socialize.

In this workshop trainers from the career services center of the RUG will give you instructions on how to network both in real life but also online using platforms such as LinkedIn to make connections with your peers. These same connections could later lead to fresh input, new work collaborations and even potential friendships!

So sign up and let us help you navigate the difficult waters of human (online) interaction!

This event is going to be held online and is free of charge.
