Join us walking through the mud and watching some seals in the dutch waddenzee. We will meet at Groningen station where we organized a bus that takes us to the sea. From there, we will board on a small boat that is ready in the harbor. At Engelsmanplaat we get out with a ladder into the waddenzee and the tour begins. We will walk a tour for around 8 km (basic fitness level required). After returning to the boat we go to the banks where the seals lie. Then we take the boat back to Lauwersoog, where our bus is waiting to take us back.

Shoes to walk in the waddenzee can be borrowed there!

Participation fee: 26,50€ for PhDs,  32€ for non-PhDs.

Cancellation policy and reimbursement of participation fee

If you are unable to attend an event (paid or free) you have signed up for, please notify the Gopher board beforehand.

Unless otherwise indicated, canceling your registration and reimbursing your paid participation fee can be done until 24 hours before the start of the event. Please make sure you read carefully the registration/cancellation procedures in the confirmation email for each event sent by us.
