Gopher invites you to go to the Groninger Museum Night! This year, this successful event is already celebrating its fourth edition - albeit slightly differently due to the exceptional circumstances.
As is written on the website of the Groninger Museum, “the programme has been modified in light of the coronavirus situation. It’s shaping up to be an exciting night full of art and music plus extras like private tours and a silent disco.“ Additionally, in contrast with previous years, there is no option to buy an all-night pass. Instead, you have to buy your ticket at the ticket shop of each of the participating museums:
Groninger Museum
University Museum
Noordelijk Scheepvaartmuseum (Northern Maritime Museum)
GRID Graphic Museum
StoryWorld (at Forum Groningen)
This makes things slightly more tricky for us as well, but we have figured out a solution! First, in signing up with us, we ask you to fill in your bank details, such that we know who to reimburse. Second, you will have to get your ticket(s) yourself. To that end, decide which museum(s) you want to visit, and get yourself a ticket at their ticket booth, or online via https://www.groningermuseum.nl/bezoek/activiteiten/museumnacht. Tickets go for €2,50 each, but please be noted that there is a limited number of tickets for each museum and time slot! Third, after having bought the ticket(s), please send us an email, containing a picture of your proof of payment or ticket, such that we know you actually bought it. Fourth, you will receive a reimbursement of €5. This means that you can visit all 5 of the above museums for only €7,50!
Because of this slightly complicated setup, and because of social distancing measures, we decided not to make this a ‘normal’ Gopher event. Therefore, Gopher will not go to each museum as a group, but we invite you to discover each of these yourself - of course you are very happy to invite a colleague or friend to go with you! Most importantly, we hope this event will offer you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with Groningen cultural life :)
