PhD scholars are radical innovators that challenge existing paradigms. Doing so is a challenge that comes with resistance from existing paradigms, scholars and practitioners. In this lecture the speaker will introduce two radical changes that are killing existing paradigms: sustainable entrepreneurship (www.rug.nl/cf/cse) replacing neo-classical economics and nature-inclusive farming (https://universiteitvanhetnoorden.nl/programmas/fascinating/) replacing mainstream for-profit production of food. Using these examples,he will introduce the key elements of radical innovations, the response from dominant paradigms and solutions to obstacles in the sustainable change process.
